Houston sergeant fatally shot responding to a domestic dispute

A Houston police officer was killed Saturday night, shot multiple times while responding to a domestic violence call. After a woman reported that her boyfriend was assaulting her and armed with two firearms, Sgt. Christopher Brewster, 32, responded to the call. The suspect shot Brewster as he got out of his car. The 25-year-old suspect was arrested soon, after he fled the scene.

Domestic disputes are extremely dangerous for law enforcement; emotions are ramped up, adrenaline is rushing, and careful thought has long since left. Pretty awful that the officer died.

One more reason to bring back public executions. A way more effective deterrent than lethal injection! RIP, sir, and thank you for being on duty!

Better than those California cops who used manned civilian vehicles as shields in that highway shoot out.

Thank you gun lobby. I guarantee you that accountability will come down like a hammer. The majority of the population is tired of being held hostage by a tyrannical few.
