Chauvin, 3 ex-cops indicted for violating George Floyd’s civil rights

Derek Chauvin and three other former Minneapolis police officers have been indicted by a federal grand jury Friday on charges that they violated George Floyd’s civil rights. Chauvin, Thomas Lane, J. Alexander Keung and Tou Thao were charged with failure to provide Floyd with medical care as Chauvin pinned him to the ground while Floyd repeatedly said he could not breathe.

Why does the media keep stoking this fire, other then trying to divide our country even more. The media has become the most dangerous organizations in the world. They have become lap dogs for the politicians.

Floyd was complaining about breathing problems before he was ever in the ground, likely because of the drugs in his system causing it. The cops should've done better and they deserve to be rightfully punished, but not for the sake of political points. All these charges against them are fueled by people who treat cops as inherently bad all because of a few bad apples. For that, these charges against them are completely based on emotion and groupthink rather than logic and facts.

Lock them up and throw away the key - America is on a new trajectory. Cops can no longer murder people and get away with it.

Calling an ambulance for someone having an overdose is violating his civil rights? Floyd had two other overdoses right before that, that landed him in hospital for several weeks.

So when Chauvin gets acquitted on appeal, they seem to want another way to preserve the narrative. The unbelievable amount of confirmation bias people seem to need/want/desire on this is F'ing amazing.

Reminds me of a story I saw a few years back. Construction worker got arrested and charged for violating a black mans rights. Didnt matter that the black man had prior sex crimes convictions and had been committing rape at the time, the mob wanted their pound of flesh. Lesson learned is, it's not what right or true, it's what the mob feels that matters...

There mere fact they weren’t Indicted when it happened just proves that this country is THICK of PURE racism and this way of thinking needs to be purged from existence! It’s disgusting and it should be intolerable!!!

They did the crime, they gotta do the time. It’s interesting to see how people what to talk about divisiveness but they are the same ones showing a lack of empathy, remorse and / or respect in regards to the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and countless of PRICELESS, worthy, valuable lives that were unjustly taken away due to extreme violence whether it be Police Brutality or Domestic Terrorist . It doesn’t change that simple fact that it was undeniably rooted in racial bigotry.

Good. Get these murderou* cops off the street.

He said he couldn't breathe before anyone touched him. They don't have the medications required to prevent fentanyl overdose on each officer. These are some more charges that don't have legal merit.

lol at all the kids still claiming fent when the medical examiner already testified in court that fent didn’t kill him and all that conservative media nonsense has been debunked a thousand times over. If it hadn’t, he WOULDN’T HAVE GOTTEN CONVICTED. Big brains here on this app.

Are they actually trying to make this a race thing? Has anyone looked at the other cops in question? Pretty “diverse” bunch if you ask me, but I guess if they wear a uniform and want to keep people safe from career criminals, their ethnicity matters not. This is indeed descended into a witch hunt, sad that appeasing a movement that wants to destroy America 🇺🇸 is a priority now, as if they will be appeased by this rather than emboldened. Give and inch and they will take a mile.

What a monkey trial this has turned out to be

What about that womans civil rights that floyd held at gunpoint to rob her, what about her civil rights!?!?

I notice a telling correlation between people who think these cops should rot and their lack of knowledge of the facts of the case. ·Floyd couldn't breathe before he was on the ground. ·Floyd kicked officers while demanding to be held on the ground. ·Chauvin did not deploy taser when Floyd started kicking despite meeting the treshold, destroying excessive force arguments. ·Hostile crowd and Floyd's behavior inhibited police from driving Floyd to medical. ·Medical was called almost immediately after holding Floyd on the ground. All these are facts are from the trial and many were conceded from prosecutorial witnesses that were convinced of opinion that contradicted these facts. So why is Chauvin guilty on all counts? Why are he and his fellow officers being indicted for things we already know to be bogus indictments?Politics.

Gotta keep the masses divided....shining a light on racially divisive news on a sad tragedy that had nothing to do with race. Yes , accountability is good and needed, but I would be nice if that accountability was applied to everyone who commits a crime, instead of creating scapegoats that divide us.
