1,000 tourists stranded at New Zealand resort in landslide

Almost 1,000 tourists were stranded in New Zealand’s South Island on Monday after wild storms cut highways, washed away bridges and flooded the rugged landscape. Authorities have warned the tourists they may not be saved until Friday. Efforts are being made to deliver essential supplies to the trapped. The mudslides happened near the Franz and Fox glaciers.
