Man arrested for posting simulated video of mass shooting pleads not guilty

A 30-year old Californian pleaded not guilty Monday to weapons and child abuse charges after online videos appeared to show him pointing a rifle and rehearsing a mass shooting from a San Diego hotel room. ’It was just kind of like a miniature art project,’ Steven Homoki said. ’I just wanted to relax, maybe do something...different.’ His bail is set at $1m. He faces 10 years in jail if convicted.

Whether or not he was telling the truth about this not being real, he has demonstrated several instances of profoundly bad decision making... from acting like this, to recording it, to uploading it to YouTube. At least it stopped there.

Bail for something like that should not be 1Million. The state is trying to profit off of potential crimes.

Arrested for what? What are they caging this guy for? Making a video about acting like he is shooting people?? I do that literally every day at work. Are finger guns illegal too....o wait....

Like it or Not I strongly believe that this person did not commit a crime. Is it fucking stupid. Probably so. He is being suspected of a potential crime but that's still not justification to have him criminally prosecuted because there's a chance he might do it. No you either commited a crime or you haven't. This person hasn't. HE SHOULDN'T BE IN JAIL.

His goal: the perfect mass killing. They should have a gun range where they could safely do this.
