Parties in Britain turn to Facebook ads in run up to election

The Conservative Party in Britain has quadrupled its spending on Facebook ads in the final days to the election. Its spending surged from £5,577 on 3 December to £22,491 the following day. The spending, however, is still far below that of the Labour Party, which is estimated to have spent around £726,000 on Facebook ads between 6 November and 3 December.
