Graham says GOP can’t ’move forward’ without Trump

Sen. Lindsey Graham has said the GOP cannot ’move forward’ without former President Trump. His comments came amid internal squabbles over Trump’s role in the future of the GOP, and the attempt to oust Rep. Liz Cheney as House GOP Conference chair. ’I’ve always liked Liz Cheney, but she’s made a determination that the Republican Party can’t grow with President Trump,’ Graham said.

GOP without Trump has no base worth mentioning. They are a political cult-de-sac full of RINOs, PNAC dinosaurs, rent-seekers and corporate apparatus that no ordinary working American ever wants to hear from again and without Trump will sink into the tar pits of politics.

Surely the GOP under trump was less a moving forward and more a digging in of heels?

Haven’t heard from Don lately, wonder what he’s up to. I thought all the Democrats were supposed to be arrested like a dozen times by now. Weird. I’m sure it’s still gonna happen.

That’s because Graham wants to live in an autocracy. He’s one of the worst. It won’t be long until he’s out of a job and irrelevant.

The GOP needs to be abolished and if it’s trump that is needed to fulfill that, so be it.

Ha ha ha ha ha. This guy is so pathetic! Still licking Trump's boots after all these years.

What Graham means is that with the fool the GOP will disappear sooner. I cannot wait for the new replacement party.

The GOP doesn't need Trump at all, but it DOES have to learn from his 2016 campaign, and the loss in 2020. In 2016, Trump identified the right issues. But the failure to deliver anything in for years, and the return to divisive religious issues in 2020 terminated it. If you want to win the country, you have to have broad appeal. Look who he lost to... A totally empty head. Focus on the lying media. Focus on racist public education system. Focus on broken Democrat cities. Focus on skyrocketing crime rates. Focus on woke institutional neo-racism. Focus on one citizen one vote. The Republicans have always been the party of justice and liberty. Be that again.

They literally can't. Quite a few Republicans are a bunch of do nothing's that like to sit on their hands and take the abuse the Democrats throw at them.

Trump is a more honest representation of basic Conservative values than most Republicans. In order to not get flushed, those career politicians who want to keep having careers need to get back in line with their voter bases. Personally I vote "flush", I can find more honest and loyal representation than Mitch McConnell by scraping the underside of my boot.

The Trump version of the Republican Party should just change its name to signify what it really stands for: class warfare, ignorance of the Constitution and the Rule of Law, fascism, authoritarianism and bigotry/racism. That would enable the remaining Republicans to represent what the true Republicans have always stood for -- conservatism with due regard for the American people while limiting the size of the federal government. Trump and his followers do not subscribe to traditional Republican values.

Surely there is a conservative statesman to support minus the ego and bombastic nature. I loved most of the policies, and that he kept a mostly conservative line. But I abhor his childish tantrums and the blind following that ensued. He lost my support long before Jan 6.

The GOP doesn't realize that they've turned away Gen Z HARD by backing Trump. The republican party is literally dying out and they might be able to get a slight boost from disillusioned incel deus vult larpers in their 30s if they back trump. Either way, all they can ever do is concede on issue after issue over the years.
