Pound dips as uncertainty around UK elections rises

The sterling took a dip on Wednesday as uncertainty surrounding the UK elections role, with one poll raising the prospect of a hung parliament. A new poll by YouGov MRP showed the Tories could win 339 seats (22 more than they took in 2017) and a vote share of 43%. The latest poll shows that the Conservative’s predicted majority has been cut down to 28 seats from 68 seats two weeks ago.
