For Scotland and Northern Ireland UK election could signal weaker ties

Scotland, for one, woke up to the news Conservatives won a majority in the Westminster parliament and the Scottish National Party(SNP) gained an extra 12 seats in Scotland - a total now of 48. Also the British election will help a fresh drive next week to restore the devolved government in Northern Ireland after a near three-year hiatus, Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said on Friday.
