Macron backlash intensifies as he’s accused of ’brutally dismantling’ pension system

French President Macron remains determined to push ahead with an overhaul of the nation’s pension system despite more than a week of nationwide strikes. Speaking in Brussels on Friday, Macron said the ’historic reform’ aim at better equipping the country for challenges. The changes will make the pension system fairer and will keep it out of debt, he added.

It's always interesting to see how state funded entitlements operate when the funding can't keep up. Either taxes go up, access gets restricted or benefits go down.
