White House adviser: We should work ’hand-In-hand’ with senators on impeachment

Pam Bondi, the former Florida attorney general who recently joined President Donald Trump’s messaging team on impeachment, said Sunday that the White House has every right to work with GOP senators in the lead-up to the Senate impeachment trial. Bondi said that Trump’s advisers ’wouldn’t be doing our jobs’ if they didn’t work directly with Senate Republicans on impeachment.

A fair juror can acquit if that’s what she/he genuinely believes the evidence shows, but for jurors to work hand in hand with the White House BEFORE the trial doesn't seem fair here. Is this ok? Why can't be be about the Constitution? I hope the nation gets to see all the evidence and witnesses and have a truly fair trial in the Senate.

Republicans have completely abandoned their pretense of being a check to the president's power here. The Senate is supposed to be impartial jurors, but here, they have clearly sided with the defendant before the trial. Imagine if the jury already decided a murderer was innocent before the trial and told the judge they were working with the defense. This is madness.
