A North Carolina sheriff’s deputy has been placed on administrative leave after surveillance video surfaced showing him body-slamming a middle school student. Vance County sheriff Curtis Brame said the incident left him stunned. Authorities did not identify the officer involved in the incident. The student seen in the video is younger than 12 years old.

This should't be news until motive or a reason why the officer took action is established. Otherwise just another outrage headline - clickbait.

School Resources Officers are great to have on campus. Obviously what this one did was inappropriate (or at least appears to be based on what was in the story) but I would be curious to know what the kid did before this happened.
