Apple, Google, Tesla and others sued for deaths of children in cobalt mines

The International Rights Advocates sued Apple, Google, Tesla, and others on behalf of 14 Congolese families. The tech companies are accused of knowing that cobalt used in their products was mined using child labor. The Democratic Republic of the Congo produces 60% of the world’s cobalt supply. The mineral is used to produce lithium-ion batteries to power electric cars, laptops and smartphones.

I am not here to defend the companies but the mining companies should be sued instead.

A US court has no jurisdiction in the Congo. The law suit needs to be filed before a Congolese court.
