Connecticut man wanted to fight for Islamic State arrested

A Connecticut man was arrested as he tried to reach a ship to travel to the Middle East to fight alongside the IS. Ahmad Elshazly, 22, of West Haven, was arrested in the town of Stonington, where he was expected to board a boat and begin a trip to Turkey. Elshazly is charged with attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
