Number of US executions decline in 2019: Report

The number of executions carried out in the US dropped in 2019, according to a report. States in 2019 executed 22 prisoners, marking the second-fewest in almost three decades. This will be the fifth consecutive year with fewer than 30 executions. Texas conducted nine executions, while Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia conducted three apiece in 2019.

The death penalty costs more money than life in prison. The government should not have the power to kill its citizens. And lethal injection is often inhumane and not legally allowed to be performed by real doctors that know what they are doing. A few reasons I dont support the death penalty but I dont fight against it either.
