Pope scraps ’pontifical secrecy’ for sex abuse investigations

Pope Francis has abolished the ’pontifical secrecy’ rule for sex abuse investigations. The rule forbade anyone who reported they had been sexually abused by a priest from talking about it. Church leaders had called for the rule’s abolition at a February Vatican summit.

just having the fact that they had this rule to begin with speaks to how rampant the abuse is in the church.

You want an at-a-boy for this? Fuck you. You should have done this six years ago when you got your funny little hat.

The church's BS and public playing is why Sede Vacante Catholics exist. Vatican II was trash too.

It took lobbying to force the pope to make the morally correct decision. The church is corrupt to it's bones. I wonder how many children's bones are buried beneath the Vatican?

Something we call all agree on. The stuff they have been doing for... centuries? has be horrible. I guess the Pope, in his own way is bringing us together. lol
