Sanders, Warren back legislation aimed at decriminalizing sex work

Prominent democrats are calling for additional scrutiny over anti-sex trafficking legislation. The SAFE SEX Workers Study Act, sponsored by Rep. Ro Khanna, would study the effects of two anti-sex trafficking bills -- SESTA/FOSTA- that became law last year. Khanna’s legislation has received support from Sen. Sanders, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

I'm trying to understand how legalizing prostitution eliminates pimps or cartel a-holes from creating sex slaves. Does making it legal turn all whores into something like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman?

Can't wait to see the OSHA guidelines for whoring..🍿🤡

Of course they're in danger. It's illegal. I actually support the legalisation of prostitution. Then let doctors give a prescription for one free fuck to depressed people. The brothels can have coupons, just handing out all the fucks till they have no fucks to give.

while I support the legalisation of sex work for a few reasons like: -it would be easier for people to establish brothels and safety standards. -it will keep said sex workers off the street and safe -it could provide more information about sexual health of both parties (have it a requirement to disclose before the acts provided). etc. I think it is quite blindsided to fight over websites that are trying to stop sex slavery, it isn't great PR.

Incels should back this legislation 100000%! Seriously tho, if you wanna talk small.government, then legalize prostitution. why are we stopping them from doing what they want with their bodies?

First, let's start giving children the legal authority to determine things about their sexuality. Next, let's legalize sex work. The leftist future is terrifying.

You loving this slippery slope yet? Just you wait, theres gonna be teenage girls in trade schools learning the profession and every last one of you are gonna be arrested for being anti-semetic for complaining.

I'm entirely fine with decriminalizing sex work. I will however absolutely refuse to participate, or have any part in, such degeneracy. Liberty ftw

I like the idea of brothels being legalized, but I don't like these weirdos advocating for it. Sigh...
