Australia has hottest day on record

As the nation battles a severe drought and a bushfire crisis, Australia has experienced its hottest day on record with the national average temperature reaching a high of 40.9C (105.6F). The previous record of 40.3C was set on 7 January 2013. Forecasters predict more intense heat would come later in the week.

Are these the same records that stretch all the way back to 1970? Conveniently missing the hottest and coldest years at the beginning of the 20th century, those records? I also remember a news piece back in the early 90’s that had recorded heat in a Perth school yard reaching 62 degrees as well. Not sure what we are supposed to believe anymore but I’m pretty sure the Russians are behind it now and that orange man is in fact bad...

Who would have guessed. As we leave the Ice age, the temperature rises in some places. Fires are natural and help create new environments
