Congress budget deal ends electric car credits

Congress did not extend tax credits for Electric Vehicles in the budget deal just concluded. The credits have not been as successful as expected and primarily benefited GM and Tesla. There are questions about how this will impact the future developments for electric cars in the US while the market is growing in Europe and elsewhere.

Good. It's not the job of the government to pay for people's stuff.

They're too fukin expensive and have a carbon footprint the same as regular cars after you factor in construction. It's just a feel good virtue signal for folks who dont know anything about them.

There’s another story about Tesla stock hitting all-time high so this seems like a good time to short Tesla stock.

Good. End all taxpayer subsidies, period. The government does not have the Constitutional power to take money from individuals and then give said money to anyone else.
