Camille Schrier, a biochemist from Virginia was crowned the 99th Miss America on Thursday. Ms. Schrier, who is a native of Pennsylvania, said she wishes to break stereotypes about what it means to be Miss America in 2020. She further said that she wishes to be a woman of science.
