UNCC shooting victim Riley Howell immortalized as Jedi by Lucasfilm

Riley Howell, 21, who was fatally shot in the April 30 UNC Charlotte shooting while protecting his classmates, has been posthumously honored as a Jedi Master ’Ri-Lee Howell’ by Lucasfilm, the studio behind the Star Wars movie series. ’As a small tribute, our Story Group has incorporated a reimagining of Riley’s name as a character in the Star Wars galaxy,’ Lucasfilm wrote to Howell’s family.

Honestly after the gutter trash that come out of Lucas film with the last star wars film, I'd rather be immortalised on public access tv.

Sure beats converting to Jediism. Rest in peace, Riley. People like you are what makes America great!

I'm okay with this. Say what you will about Star Wars these days, Jedi are still cool.
