Friends theme songwriter Allee Willis dies at 72

Allee Willis, a Grammy-winning US songwriter, behind the Friends theme tune has died aged 72. She died Tuesday of a ’cardiac event’. I’ll Be There for You, the single she co-wrote for the Rembrandts, became one of the most recognized television theme songs of all time. Willis also co-wrote the Earth, Wind & Fire hits September and, last year was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
