Turkish court calls for Wikipedia ban to be lifted

Turkey’s highest court ruled in favor of Wikipedia, calling the Turkish government’s two-year ban on the website a violation of freedom of expression. Turkey blocked Wikipedia in April 2017, accusing it of being part of a ’smear campaign’ against the country. Access to Wikipedia was blocked under a law that allows the government to ban sites it deems pose a national security threat.

Wikipedia is indeed a part of numerous smear campaigns and is controlled by a handful of activists. Use Everipedia.org , founded by an initial Wikipedia cofounder (a fork if I am correct) and democratized edits, as originally intended.

Interesting. I wonder if Erdogan will obey the court or provide more evidence that he is authoritarian.
