Amazon’s ’record-breaking’ holiday sales helps Nasdaq push past 9,000

Thursday for the first time ever the Nasdaq has finished above 9,000 points, closing up 0.8%. In 2019 the Nasdaq has gained approximately 36% in 2019, putting it on track to make 2019 its best year since 2013. Amazon was the big winner of the day, as shares rose 4.5% after the company said its holiday season was ’record-breaking’.
