YouTube removes crypto videos citing ’harmful or dangerous content’

YouTube has taken down cryptocurrency-related videos categorizing them as ’harmful content’ and some of the YouTubers have been temporarily banned from the platform. The move followed after the platform updated its community guidelines recently.

This is because alternative platforms use crypto to compensate content creators. Delegitimizing crypto hurts it's competition. They also don't like that crypto can't be controlled by Visa/MasterCard/Discover/PayPal and the like. So there is no way to cut off funding to creators they don't want supported. Sick all the way around really.
