House Dem claims Senate GOP ’breaking the rules’ by working with White House

Mark Pocan, D-Wis., accused Senate Republicans of ’breaking the rules’ as he discussed their coordination with the White House in planning for a trial following the House’s impeachment vote. ’Mitch McConnell already said that he’s working hand-in-hand with the White House on this,’ Pocan said. ’He’s not an impartial juror. That’s, again, breaking the rules that exist.’

Right. Hands up, anybody thinks this isn't a steaming pile of political partisanship? Yeah, #metoo.

"We will all work together against the White House, but you can't work together to oppose us." Right. Cause that makes sense

I wonder what rules the Democrats think the Senate GOP is breaking? Was there a rule to NOT do this?

I wonder where the outrage was over the shitshow that the House Democrats just put on?

I am going to agree with Scalise on this issue the media seems to want to play up.

odd they think that the dims work with Clinton on his impeachment....

Mitch gaffed on his original statement as to every step of way coordination... Instead of following Tom daschle model used for Clinton impeachment....thus giving dems fodder n nancy cause to pause and ref mitch to be rogue.. N thus we r in stalemate with Chuck n mitch... Mitch could use fifty one simply majority to present rules if he wanted to.. But... He is trying to get a consensus vote to remove any question the trial can be called sham.... Be patient. Senate is not even back in session.. It's important for welfare of president to receive a trial that can provide a clean acquittal... That's just a simple fact... To do other wise leaves a stain upon him forever as if outcome prefixed.... Let mitch do his job n chuck do his... N the senators do theirs... Nancy will fork over the articles.. Once mitch set rules with or with out consensus vote..

If ur mind is blown by this stuff wait til the trial itself... Not a single solitary senator to question house managers or presidents lawyers nor any witness if one is presented... No speeches by either side about the processes etc... Only house managers n presidents lawyers speak.... But senators can call points of order n request votes upon them... Then fifty one rule... Cheif justice Robert's keeps order that's it... Should he try to make a ruling he can be overturned by fifty one senators....... It's very cut n dry......... It's nothing like house debates.. At all... N changes can be made out of thin air on simple fifty one rule

They r reffering to Clinton impeachment trial rules... The Tom daschle standard set... But that's nonsense dems claim cause like it or not mitch heads senate n mitch can call the vote with or without Chuck input.... This impeachment trial is the first one in history in which the house n senate r under different majorities.. Thus its a tricky chess game.. For the ultimate jurors r the people.. Us.. No matter what verdict senate votes on in the end

It has its done that's gop distraction trying to push an alternate set of facts to keep their base moral up...n support rabid...... Gaslighting their own base... If that's not alarming nothing is..

What nonsense when in fact the house n senate on Christmas recess... Sorry Steve but did u forget... The speaker of house per constitution is only behind vp in line to presidency... That's far more powerful than any senate seat... R u peeved she is a far better chess opponent then u all realized.......... I bet had u been the one impeaching a prez of opposite party... U would have whipped the vote of ur Caucasus just as gop did on this one... Sad cause this should have been on principled oaths... Not whipped threats... No wonder Justin amash exited the gop... He won't be unfaithful to either truth or values.or the republic...thats a gutsy principled elected official... Country over any party period
