Mass killing incidents in the U.S. hit a record in 2019 — most were shootings

More than 210 people were killed in 41 mass killings in 2019, more incidents than in any previous year on record. Shootings accounted for 3/4 of the mass killings, defined as incidents with four or more deaths, according to a database compiled by AP. There were more deaths from mass killings in 2017 when 59 died in the Las Vegas massacre. National news barely noted most of the incidents in 2019.

big year with gun rights being stripped and more gun crime happening 🤔. Guess these laws are''t actually helping.

Interesting how some of the areas with strict gun laws experienced the most mass shootings 🤔 This should be a wake-up call for a lot of people. Although it’s not just a gun issue but a mental and psychological problem as well.

It's ironic that we're living in a time of the strictes gun laws and the "mass shootings" are happening in States with those strict laws... Coincidence?

This is a real conundrum... it's like these anti-gun laws and anti-violence don't stop people from murdering each. Probably need moar laws passed... /s

Take away the stupid "gun free zone" signs and you'll eliminate over 90% of those mass shootings. Take away Chicago and all of a sudden the U.S has almost the least amount of gun violence in the world.

No shit? Hmmm, maybe we should actually start doing something about all those murders in Chicago, New York, California, and any other leftist trash bin. Might cut your fucking numbers if you do.

More than 210 deaths due to mass shootings, while deaths due to fentanyl were estimated at 30,000 in 2018. Which one makes for headlines that sell more clicks? And now we see why MSM loves reporting on shootings. For reference: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/08/190829081407.htm

Ya? And how many of these were from inner city gang violence? Don't worry I'll wait.

Why not mention how the UK's rape rates are double the USA's? All because women are forbidden from defending themselves with a firearm. Pro Gun Control = Pro Rape.

Poorly written synopsis. Only 4 sentences long yet manages to convey the amount of times firearms was used twice. It's either lazily written or has an agenda behind it!

Funny how none of the articles link to the database. They all handpicked the few shootings that fit into their narrative and made the story about that...

Most "mass" shootings are gang related and aren't covered by the media

Grug wonder why Las Vegas Mass Shooting is not talked about at all anymore. Grug wonder why people would bring up Sandy Hook before Las Vegas. Grug wonder what was in that hotel room. Grug wonder why there is so little known about gunman. Grug wonder why no cameras caught him going to his room. Make Grug Think.

Well that's not very impressive. In England we have had over 140 deaths due to mass stabbings in City of London alone. It's like your not even trying.

That will happen when you constantly change the criteria.😂🤣😂🤡🌍

640,000 abortions per year. 480,000 cigarette smoking deaths. 88,000 alcohol related deaths. 70,000 drug overdose deaths. 40,000 shooting deaths (more than half of them suicide). The same number as died in car crashes. BAN GUNS! Or make firearm carry mandatory. If everyone carries a gun, you are less likely to live long enough to shoot a bunch of people.

Pedocrats making America less safe. Remove all the Pedocrat run states and cities and the US drops to 189 on the list of most dangerous places to be. Remeber the Pedocrats and their Hollyweird propaganda machine are only about fixing the blame not the problem. They like the problems, they like the problems so much they manufacture them. Why? Because if there were no problems for Pedocrat big government solutions to solve, there would be no reason for Pedocrat big government. Remember, when Pedocrats say they are here to help what they mean is, increase crime rates, rape babies, fund health care for illegals, create a drug epidemic, ship your jobs over seas, close your industry, take away the first and second amendments, create hate speech laws, and get your children murdered, mutilated or indoctrinated. Just say no to pedocrats and their communist squad of foreign terrorists.

I’m a school dropout with 2 felony convictions and a drug business. I depend on my “9” to make a living—I support 4 of my illegitimate children. What am I going to do if these gun laws prevent me from my dream of becoming a high ranking gangsta thug?

From SkyNews: "California has some of the most strict gun laws in the country but had the most mass killings (eight)". Whoops!
