Sen. Kennedy: Constitution offers little guidance on impeachment

Sen. Kennedy: Constitution offers little guidance on impeachment

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La. said that the Senate is in relatively uncharted territory when it comes to impeachment and the Founding Fathers provided only limited guidance in the Constitution when it comes to the process. Kennedy was responding to a comment in relation to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s statement about working with the White House on the defense of President Trump.

I believe the Democrats May find that the US public think otherwise. The lessons from the UK election about leftists filibustering are going to have to be hammered home to the Washington bubble dwellers in much the same manner.

It gives us all the guidelines we need. Do you have evidence of High Crimes and misdemeanors. Can this evidence hold up in a court of law. If not then censure is the choice not impeachment. Impeachment should only be used if you have a strong enough case to remove the POTUS from office otherwise it comes off as a political hit job

Sopena power by the senate carries legal authority meaning Biden is bound by law. He can be arrested and brought before the Senate to testify. I want to here Hunter explain how he got his job in the Ukraine. I can't wait to hear that explanation since he doesn't speak the language and has zero experience in the energy sector. On top of which he is a know drug abuser. If they ask him directly if he only got the job because his dad was vice president, how can he answer this question with a 'no'. Once it is established that this is why, the Senate can start questioning Joe to determine if he agreed to any political favours either to get his son the job or to prevent the investigation. The investigation of his son's company was an internal Ukraine matter. It doesn't even matter if the investigator was corrupt or not, it was still nothing to do with America. Biden's motives are irrelevant in terms of a purely internal matter. It only matters that Joe used American loan guarantees to interfere in the investigation of a company his own son was a board member of. He cannot use the possibility the the investigator may have been corrupt. This was still nothing to do with America. If, for example, a New york prosecutor were investigating EBAY for corruption and EBAY agreed to open a major branch in New York if they agreed to fire the prosecutor, this would be a major corruption scandal. Biden needs to burn for his corruption. To say he abused his position is an understatement. The Dems and leftist press openly pushing that Biden did nothing wrong is pathetic. Is absolutely doesn't fly when everyone has seen the video of Biden bragging about abusing his position to interfere in the internal investigation in another country. Allowing Biden to get away with this after his admission of guilt is an insult to the intelligence of every America.

Guess the Democrats can make that gamble if they wish. Hold the articles of impeachment for a couple of years and see how the public responds to that.

U nailed it.. It's crux of what's going on... Co equal branches.. Inappropriate over reach with ridiculous idea the executive branch has absolute immunity n thus can tell congress to kiss its arse... It can't.. N there is no such thing as absolute immunity except in a dictatorship or theocrascy.....
