French chef fails in Michelin lawsuit over lost star

One of France’s leading chefs has lost his court case against the Michelin Guide after it downgraded his restaurant from three to two stars. Marc Veyrat had sued Michelin, demanding a full explanation of the downgrade. But the French court dismissed his case, ordering him to pay costs. It found that the chef had failed to show any proof that he had suffered material damage.
