Fugitive Nissan chief Ghosn says he fled Japan to escape ’injustice’

Ousted Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn has said that he fled Japan in order to escape ’injustice’ and ’political persecution’. Ghosn was under house arrest and on 24-hour surveillance when he reportedly hid inside a large musical instrument case on Sunday and smuggled himself out of Japan to flee criminal prosecution. He is currently in Lebanon.
