Jakarta floods: Death toll rises to 21 in Indonesian capital

At least 21 people have died in flooding in Jakarta after the city had its most intense rainfall for at least 24 years. The heavy floods displaced more than 30,000 people and caused chaos across parts of Southeast Asia’s biggest city with train lines blocked and power outages in some areas. The downpours led to landslides on the city’s outskirts, while closer to the center, homes were submerged.
