Netanyahu seeks immunity from prosecution; buying time until after vote

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he will ask parliament to grant him immunity from three corruption charges against him — a move that would delay his prosecution until March. In March, he faces a third national election within a year. Netanyahu, who denies wrongdoing, would need the support of more than half of MPs for immunity to be granted.
