Austrian conservative and Green parties plan to form coalition government

Austria’s conservative People’s Party and the environmentalist Greens have agreed to form a coalition government that will ensure the return of ex-chancellor Sebastian Kurz to power. The two parties have a combined 97 seats in Austria’s 183-seat parliament. If the Green party’s delegates formally approve the coalition deal on Saturday, the new government could be sworn in as early as next week.

I would think the Austrians would be wary of socialistic ideals at a national level, given the history of that ideology in their own country. Even though this takes the form of ecofascism rather than typical nationalist socialism. (inb4 "reee you said the N word")

Green party really creates imagery of trees cleaning the air. What it really means is cash money. Tax the workers to go to their jobs by hiking fuel prices, further damaging the ability of the individual to make sustainable choices as they are forced to prioritise economic wellbeing.
