Turkish parliament to vote on sending troops to Libya

Turkish lawmakers are expected to support a back a bill on Thursday that allows troop deployment in Libya. However, the support is expected to in the form of military support, training and drones in the air rather than boots on the ground. On Wednesday, VP Fuat Oktay said the bill served a symbolic role that Ankara hoped would be a ’deterrent’ to the parties.
