Israel’s top court hears case on Netanyahu’s ability to serve while indicted

The Israeli Supreme Court heard a case on whether a member of parliament can form a government while they are under indictment. If the court rules that they cannot, it could prevent PM Netanyahu from remaining in office after the March election. PM Netanyahu has been indicted for bribery, fraud and other crimes. A ruling could worsen the strained ties between the Israeli government and judiciary.
