Sounds like the accountants were looking for a reduction in insurance premiums.

I'd claim that using nicotine is part of my religion and sue the shit out of them. It's not my employer's business what I do off the clock.

Busy body, joy killing, pickle sucking, bean counters. I think nicotine addicition is an unhealthy thing, and no one should be smoking or vaping; but nicotine does not impair judgement, and is therefore it is not their business if their truckers smoke or vape on their own time. I hope none of their drivers or applicants submit to blood testing for nicotine use.

U-haul is a corrupt company that takes any short cut possible for safety on their rental trucks. I’m up in Canada and all u-haul trucks are registered in Arizona only as they have the most relaxed vehicle safety standards. This to say that U-haul doesn’t care about staff either, this probably is an insurance money saver.

This and similar drug polices are blatantly unconstitutional if I was a worker and I was not hired for this reason or was fired for this reason Id take up a discrimination lawsuit.

I approve, it's their business, not smoker's call.
