December US manufacturing activity the weakest in a decade

Manufacturing activity in the US fell to the lowest level in more than a decade. The Institute for Supply Management said Friday that its manufacturing index dropped to 47.2 in December, from 48.1 in November. Last month’s level was the lowest since June 2009. A reading below 50 signals contraction, and the index has been below that level since August.

FINALLY the media covers the economy? About time they had a shred of bad news to pin on Trump. The steady flow of growth was really hindering the narrative.

headline is wrong. this number represents a slight contraction. we have had massive growth in 10 years. especially the last 3 years. so manufacturing is down the last 3 months but it's still near record high manufacturing.
