Methodist Church may split over same-sex marriage tensions

The United Methodist Church plans to split into two later this year. This follows years of contention over whether the church should end its ban on same-sex marriage and gay clergy. If approved, this would divide US Christian denomination into two branches - a traditionalist side and a progressive wing. The United Methodist Church lists more than 80 million members worldwide.

There goes the methodist church schism... Always interesting to look at the intolerance in religions who preach about tolerance... N the equal intolerance of those opposed n demand to be tolerated... I thought when u worshipped came together to worship one... N ur personal differences get parked at the door outside... Instead of like teams opposing teams playing like mortal enemies in a blood sport
