I think most of that money comes from global corporations and is intended to direct policies of the US government that favor those corporations. The Democrats do the same thing only it's international unions throwing money in as well. If we were smart, we'd ban all campaign donations except from registered voters and limit donations. SCOTUS said money is speech so it can't be limited. That's bullshit. A vote is speech in that context, yet I only get one. Why can the government limit how many votes I cast? Oh ya.. Because it's NOT speech! Corporations, unions and PACs can't vote. Their members (the ones registered to vote) can vote. Let them donate. If we don't fix this soon, it will get worse and worse.
