200 members of Congress urge US Supreme Court to reconsider abortion ruling

Nearly 200 members of the United States Congress have come forward to urge the Supreme Court to reconsider its verdict in the 1973 Roe v. Wade case. In the case, the Supreme Court had decided to legalize abortion in the United States. Out of the nearly 200 members of the Congress who have come forward, all but two of them belong to the Republican Party.

Yay! I hope and pray, as a woman, that they win and end abortion as birth control. Your right to choose ends at conception. After that, you should be made to live with the consequences of your decision. period! I will keep praying for all the unborn to be allowed to live! Thank you all who participated in this, God bless you, keep fighting the good fight.

The decision taken by the Supreme Court was unconstitutional and a blatant case of judicial activism. The right thing to do is to revisit the ruling.

Maybe it was a bad idea to smear the absolute living shit out of the guy who has the deciding vote in this?

Considering the number of homeless people wandering the streets right now, why are the 'representatives' focusing on abortion? Solve the problem that exists, not the one that might exist.

As a person who values the law:awesome this case has no legs the person who filed the suit has sense admitted to fabrication of evidence and lying in the initial documents and most importantly even if their was legal grounds for this this kind of sweeping forced reform of state law by the desee al government is nothing short of judicial activism. As a radical catholic:fuck yeah

Why don't they seek to #OverturnReynoldsVSims? It's destroying their ability to hold rural seats in most state senates.

the ruling was based off a lie.... she was never raped and admitted after the case.

I see nothing wrong with early abortion, however, when you start using abortion as a form of birth control then this is disgusting. If you don't want children then use contraception ffs. It is far cheaper and infinitely less painful. Also, America is almost unique in the civilised world for late term abortion. In the UK the latest you can have an abortion is 26 week and not one single person ever cries about women's rights because this is the cut off point. It is foul to allow any woman to have an abortion after this time because a foetus can survive outside of the womb behind this point. This should be the definition of an individual human and aborting it should be classed as murder. Once the baby can survive independent of the mother then how can anyone justify killing it. Let's not also forget the sheer cost. At the very least, if late term abortion cannot be stopped then women should be forced to pay for their own abortion beyond 26 weeks. Women do not have the right to free abortions at the expense of the tax payer. In effect they are demanding tax payers to finance the murder of what is essentially an unborn child. SCOTUS should be asked to rule on when a foetus becomes a viable baby. They can take advice from hundreds of doctors if need be, but essentially all they need to help them rule on this issue is statistics of early births. What is the earliest point when a child can be born and survive.

There are 5 conservative judges vs 4 liberal judges so it seems if the supreme court takes up the case its gonna be all up to Bret Kavanaugh on what he decides because he's been pretty center leaning on Roe vs Wade where he agrees that the rule should remain as is, but he may take the chance to change his mind if the opportunity arrives

This isn't the right way to do this; it's far more preferable to have SCOTUS overthrow the stupid Roe v Wade for constitutional reasons, such as depriving the infant of its rights. But hell yes, get rid of abortion. The SOLE exception should be when the mother's life is imperiled and a choice has to be made as to lose one life or both.

I am not a fan of abortion, but then again I have a dick. Being some one who has a dick, I have no say in women’s health and this is a woman’s health issue. But you do understand that women make a huge majority of house reps? So the question to ask is how many of the “Hated” 207 voters are in fact women? With all the hate aginst men and the laws of man’s world, we should stop and wonder if women agree on the topic? seems to be the best way to settle this issue is to disqualify men from the vote in the senate of fairness. Then see if the law is kept on the books, I’m afraid pro choice women will be suprised.
