Iran could block Strait of Hormuz, UK sends navy to accompany ships

20-percent of the world’s oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz that is between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. There are concerns Iran could block the 33-mile-wide Strait or otherwise disrupt shipping there in retaliation for the U.S. killing of Qassem Soleimani in an air strike on the Baghdad airport. The UK navy will accompany UK-flagged ships through the Strait.

I don't think Iran is stupid enough to try and block the Straits of Hormuz but I could be wrong. It won't go well for them if they try.

How much would this hurt the USA? Oh, yes, NOT AT ALL, now we are net exporters of oil. Damn you, Trump! We can't be held hostage by Iran!! Trump must be wanting to start a war, with his "not being held to ransom" strategy.
