Ricky Gervais slams Hollywood for hypocrisy in monologue at Golden Globes

Urging Hollywood stars to refrain from commenting on politics, Ricky Gervais, a popular comedian, slammed the bigwigs of the industry for their alleged hypocrisy. Mr. Gervais gave his opening monologue at the Golden Globes on Sunday, and said that Hollywood stars are known to have worked for companies that have a less than impressive human rights record.

He said celebs should come pick up their little awards when named, and shut their mouths when the idea strikes them to make political statements because most have spent less time in school than Greta, and that they are in no position whatsoever to direct the social consciousness of the public. Pretty beautiful stuff. Also took a dump on them larping for social justice despite all profiting from, marketing for, and representing companies and businesses who engage in child labor and such, Tim Cook had a nice face during that part. He just ripped and tore through the hypocrisy of virtue signaling and social justice from Hollywood. Beautiful stuff.
