Germany to cut troop numbers in Iraq after Soleimani’s killing

Germany plans to move some of its troop contingent in Iraq to neighboring Jordan and Kuwait. This comes in the wake of the killing of Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander Qassem Soleimani by the US. Germany has some 120 soldiers in Iraq, though the majority are not stationed in Taji and Baghdad but elsewhere in Iraq.

Wow, 120 troops! Are they on vacation there or something? Can't see that they would be much of an effective fighting force with that few of a count.

It's Ok Paul, they're leaving their 12 best soldiers. We're still safe.

Not because the general hit but because of how it was done n failure to brief coalition partners... N this is why it was reckless... Should have said the target was the shiite militia leader n solehamni collateral damage n oops had no idea was with militia leader
