Glad at least one media company has been mildly penalized for their lack of ethics in that whole debacle.

Awesome! Glad that CNN - SPECIFICALLY CNN - is paying out money for this. This kid specifically was massively slimed by the media, very similar to what happened to Richard Jewell in the early 90s. Nick Sandman did nothing wrong, was not rude or disrespectful, and conducted himself quite well on what was supposed to be a normal school outing. Most likely this will go to the lawyer (nearly all such payments do) but hopefully it serves as a financial deterrent against future sliming.

good! it's about time. it's still unbelievable to me that anyone would be so much of a tard to believe such a blatantly false story

I still can't believe Major News organization didn't fact check before opening the propaganda flood Gates on a minor. There's dirty politics, but this was closer to a call to harm for a kid who was just standing at the wrong place at the wrong time. If these lawsuits didn't take place I'd be worried about CNN doxing a 10 year old for something stupid.
