Philippines Supreme court rejects plea to legalize same sex marriages

The Supreme Court of Philippines has denied the petition to legalize same-sex marriage in the country. It ruled that because the applicant didn’t have a partner he hadn’t suffered from current marriage laws, therefore he can’t claim to be a victim of discrimination. The court has stated in a resolution that no further pleadings or motions will be entertained.

I'm sure the lefties who always tout cultural relativism would say this is beautiful and just, and that we should all respect this ruling. We shouldn't judge the Philippines by our Western standards. All cultures are equal. All cultures are great. 😀👍

This pathetically backward country is being held back by the archaic yoke of the catholic church. Poorest of the poor with 9 and 10 children living in squalor because condoms are not condoned by the church while their priests live in comparative luxury.
