White House criticized for not disclosing meeting of Trump and Saudi minister

The White House faced criticism for not publicly disclosing a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Saudi Vice Minister of Defense Khalid bin Salman. A statement along with photos of the two leaders was released by Saudi Arabia. Jon Karl, president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, said it is disturbing that the Kingdom had more transparency than the White House.

Who can keep track of anything important when everything is criticized? It's just a constant stream of bitching.

I seem to recall Obama sending hundreds of millions in cash to Iran secretly in dead of night. Trump not inviting reporters to a meeting with a country Obama happily engaged with is hypocrisy at its finest.

he doesn't have to tell you anything because if he farts it will be all over the news. there are things called diplomacy and negotiation, something that doesn't depend on the media approval.

of course we didn't know - he serves the Saudis first, and disregards the people he presides over. he's a terrorist, plain and simple.

the president does not need to tell the public or the news everything that he does.when we had Clinton, Obama and bush Jr in office the news knew everything and so did half the planet. ever heard the expression " loose lips sink ships" some things we don't need to know and should be kept from the public.

Am I missing something here? Does the Executive branch need a chaperone now? The meeting occurence was public domain as required by policy but they're being chastised for not tweeting about it, holding an event, and buying half the billboards in the country to advertise that the meeting took place? The President didn't hide the meeting. The media failed at noticing it. Big difference there.
