Round one in impeachment battle won by Mitch McConnell

Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader announced on Tuesday that he had managed to gather the required number of votes which would allow him to adopt rules that don’t require additional witnesses and key documents in the impeachment trial of Donald Trump. Members of the Democratic Party have expressed strong objections to this.

The impeachment case was flimsy to begin with. This will hurt Democrats badly.

I honestly do not care what the Republicans do; they can literally just hold an immediate vote of no fault and I would be very happy. Screw the Left, and screw their Democrat lapdogs for this multi-year farce.

There is nothing to haggle about. Congress did what they wanted and now their job is done.

Excellent. Because the Democrats can go suck a bag of moldy discarded foreskins if they don't like it. And, I have recommendations for if that doesn't satiate them.

One by one senators must announce their votes... On each motion... N that's what dems want.. Put them on record .. N expose the process... If trial is less then what the voters expect... The voters won't forget... There will be retribution at ballot box in Nov... The public knows a cover up when they see one . the public is far bigger than this presidents base... N given current behaviors on Iran debacle nothing is certain come Nov.. We collectively r sick of being lied to so we can go to war..dems n gop... N we r sick of the cover ups...
