Ohio man who claimed to be missing boy gets 2 years for identity theft

Brian Rini, 24, who impersonated a long-missing Illinois child was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to identity theft. Rini, of Medina, Ohio, was charged with lying to federal agents after he told authorities in Newport that he was Timmothy Pitzen, last seen in May 2011 when he was six years old. He said he had escaped from an eight-year ordeal at the hands of sex traffckers.

Articles show this guy has a history of claiming to be a victim of child sexual abuse, as well as having mental health issues. Pretty awful thing to put this innocent family through though. Looks like the mother took the kid out of his school for a couple days of fun at parks then he disappeared; she claimed in her suicide note that she left him with people who will love him but... I think it's more likely she killed him too.
