Federal judge allows private border wall construction to move ahead

A federal judge ruled Thursday that the private border wall effort underway in south Texas next to the Rio Grande can move forward lifting a restraining order against the project. District Judge Randy Crane ruled that the federal government failed to show that building the 18-foot-tall bollard fence so close to the river would shift its course and disregard a water treaty with Mexico.
