Sadiq Khan won the election for two years in a row

Labor Party’s candidate Sadiq Khan won a second term London’s mayor election against his Conservative opponent Shaun Bailey. He held 55.2% of the votes in the second round of elections, after neither of the two candidates could secure a majority on voting in the first round. Khan had been elected as the first Muslim mayor of an EU capital in 2016. He was also a former member of parliament.
