Britain and Ireland launch bid to restore Northern Ireland government

Britain and Ireland struck a deal to restore the Northern Ireland government, three years after it collapsed amid a feud between the main Catholic and Protestant parties. The British and Irish governments have submitted a draft proposal to revive the Belfast-based Northern Ireland Assembly. As per reports, the Protestant group, the Democratic Unionist Party, have said the deal could be supported.
